| Acrylonitrile & Derivatives World Supply/Demand Report | ||
|
The World Acrylonitrile & Derivatives Supply/Demand Report is produced annually and is a very cost effective piece of intelligence giving a full historic database for the industry and offering an independent view of how the future looks. The Acrylonitrile and Derivatives World Supply/Demand Report 2005 is now available. Companies involved in this industry who have not subscribed to the supply/demand report in the past or who have not yet ordered the 2005 edition are strongly encouraged to take a subscription. The report is a very cost effective piece of intelligence giving a full historic data base for the industry and offering an independent view of how the future looks. The industry faces many challenges. The supply/demand balances are shifting and continued structural change is seen within the regions. How did the final balance look for full year 2004? How is 2005 shaping up? How is the supply/demand balance likely to shift in the coming years? What are the demand pressures and what are the supply side forces that are likely to play out? It is crucial that companies involved in the industry understand the dynamics of the business in order to make better decisions. The report is a useful planning tool for acrylonitrile producers, consumers and traders. Acrylonitrile capacity is just one side of the equation and in addition, derivative capacity and the demand prospects for these products are analysed in order to understand how the market balance is likely to change in the coming years. The demand for acrylic fibre is analysed in the context of its performance in recent years and against the background of the other fibres. ABS/SAN demand grew strongly in 2004 but slower than in previous years. It looks set for continued growth in future, stimulated by the strong domestic demand for finished goods in China. We have taken a close look at future demand for the major derivatives along with the other smaller volume acrylonitrile derivatives. PCI Acrylonitrile Ltd believes that its analysis of this industry is the best available. The report has been researched and prepared by Simon Garmston (with 19 years consulting experience to this industry). The 2005 report totals 269 pages. Historic data years run 1995-2004, while forecasts run 2005-2014. The report includes capacity information by company for acrylonitrile, acrylic fibre, ABS/SAN, adiponitrile, NB copolymers and acrylamide. Each country in the world that is involved in the production or consumption of acrylonitrile is analysed with data on capacity, production, consumption by derivative, imports and exports shown for historic years and forecast to 2014. The country detail is consolidated into regional and world level data. There are sections on demand for acrylic fibre, demand for ABS/SAN and acrylonitrile trade. There is a section that shows plant location maps. In addition to the hard copy, a CD is included containing all the data from the report (back to 1986). Click

| World Hydrogen Cyanide & Derivatives Supply/Demand Report | ||
|
The World Hydrogen Cyanide & Derivatives Supply/Demand Report was launched in 1999. The next publication is slated for
Q3 2006. This report is a totally unique document and was put together primarily in order to attempt to understand this very complex part of the acrylonitrile business, but also in order to broaden the scope of the work that we undertake within the acrylonitrile and derivatives service in response to the demands of clients. Co-product usage and value is a very critical part of the cost equation for acrylonitrile producers many companies know and understand little about the very important hydrogen cyanide derivatives chain. Hydrogen cyanide is a co-product from acrylonitrile production but it is also made 'on purpose' in very significant volumes. Due to its highly dangerous nature, transportation is very limited indeed and so it is mostly used where it is made. The lack of trade in the product makes it interesting as an important feedstock for a variety of end-uses and makes the choice of location for derivative plants quite constrained. In addition, the MMA business, which is a significant user of co-product HCN, has changed with a move away from HCN based technology in many of the new plants built in Asia/Far East in recent years. This can have implications for future acrylonitrile projects. This World Hydrogen Cyanide & Derivatives Supply/Demand Report is painstakingly collated from a myriad of sources. The report is a useful planning tool and should be of interest to a broad range of different companies, including those in the acrylonitrile, MMA, Sodium Cyanide, Methionine, Chelates and other industries. The 2006 report will cover historic data years 1996-2005, while forecasts run 2006-2015. The report will includes capacity information by company for HCN, ACH, MMA, Sodium Cyanide, Adiponitrile, Methionine and Methacrylic Acid. Each country in the world that is involved in the production and consumption of hydrogen cyanide is analysed with data on capacity and consumption by derivative. Further detail is given by country on ACH capacity, production, consumption by end-use and net trade. Finally, detail by country is given on MMA capacity, production, demand, imports and exports and net trade. The country detail is consolidated into regional data that is then added to give the total world picture. |
